Bringing a topical motion to first National Council tomorrow draft text as follows - thoughts welcome

Protecting Scotland's NHS

Against a backdrop of Scotland being removed from the European Union contrary to the democratically expressed wishes of the Scottish electorate, the UK Tory Government has repeatedly brought forward legislation which threatens the consensual and egalitarian fabric of Scottish society. Chief amongst public concerns are those about the safety and integrity of the Scottish NHS as a distinct and separate entity.

National Council notes with concern the potential risks to the Scottish NHS made possible by the UK Internal Markets Act facilitating the imposition of England only legislation such as the Health and Care Bill. Therefore, National Council calls on the Scottish Government to explore all options to sustain and protect the Scottish NHS in the only credible and feasible way: by bringing forward a route to independence, by referendum or other means, no later than Autumn 2022.

Hear hear. Only with full independance can we bring in the reforms that our NHS so badly needs.
