This is beyond parody. We're at the peak of the pandemic. Infections have reached a record high. And yet this, apparently, is the moment to phase out mandatory mask-wearing indoors. We've now reached the point where the Scottish Govt's approach is no more defensible...

We're straight back to where we came in - "let it rip" and "herd immunity". Just two snags - a) herd immunity is plainly a non-starter because people are being easily re-infected, and b) you can't treat a virus as a head cold when it's leaving a significant percentage..
